The Science House Presents: Navigating Misinformation and Fake News in the Media
We are currently in an epidemic of fake news and misinformation. This session will help teachers guide students (and themselves) to use critical-thinking tools and skills to evaluate sources of information. By helping students become more critical consumers of information, teachers are helping create better informed citizens. We also will help teachers navigate how to leverage students’ different backgrounds, cultures and political affiliations to deepen conversations and understanding.
