What better time to capitalize on what is happening in the world to bring science to life? Participants will learn how to help students better understand current events through lessons that explore biotechnology, literacy, and microbiology. Engage in hands-on activities, like identifying if a virus is the common cold, flu, or coronavirus, and investigate whether we should wear masks or how vaccines work. Discover how to increase students’ critical thinking skills while addressing middle and high school science standards.
