What to Bring: Charged Device
Learn practical strategies to personalize learning and create resources to use in your classroom in this 3-day workshop. Each session will include templates and resources for participants to customize and time to create materials to “make and take” for use in the classroom. It is suggested that department or grade level teams participate to maximize the effectiveness of this workshop. You need to plan to attend all three days.
Day 1 (Oct 26, 2023): Participants will explore and apply the 4 Pillars of Personalized Learning, dig into learner agency and learn how to use data to understand and motivate learners. Data tracking resources to use in your personalized learning classroom will be provided.
Day 2 (Nov 7, 2023): Participants will explore personalized learning classrooms in North Carolina and analyze the elements of individual learning paths. After unpacking standards participants will create a personalized learning playlist.
Day 3 (Dec 5, 2023): Participants will empathize with students in a Day in the life” scenario of a personalized learning classroom. Then they will learn strategies and procedures for a successful personalized learning classroom and redesign their classroom space.
