During this time of stress in our communities and families, it is now more important than ever to be providing social and emotional support for our students. In this course, teachers will:
- Learn to better support students’ social emotional learning needs
- Be able to describe how chronic stress affects the brain and nervous system
- Be able to recognize how stress may present in the classroom
- Learn how to integrate Social Emotional Learning practices with existing best instructional practices to support students’ mental health and learning
