Gina Dignon is a literacy leader with over twenty years of K-8 education experience and has spent over 7 years working closely with Jennifer Serravallo.  This partnership was extensive and included training and working alongside Jennifer on all aspects of components of balanced literacy, developing curriculum and implementing the work she outlines in both the Reading and Writing Strategies books with students in real classrooms alongside teachers.  For the past two years, Gina has been a part of Jennifer’s consulting group and has ongoing professional learning with her as new publications become available.      

This course is designed to transform literacy instruction and keep students in the center of the decision making process. Join us to learn how to get to know your students as readers, writers, and people through developing content knowledge, classroom systems and structures that build on their strengths.
