This all day workshop for any educator working with students in a school setting will help you understand the prevalence of various mental health disorders in children and youth and the need for reducing stigma about mental health problems. During this time, we will discuss the potential risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges common among children and adolescents, including: depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, AD/HD, disruptive behavioral disorders, and substance use disorders. We will also learn skills to help a young person who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. And offer resources to help a child or adolescent in crisis connect with appropriate professional help. WRESA is grateful to Vaya Health for the following presenters who have partnered with WRESA previously: Ann Dupree Rogers, Melissa Ledbetter and Ashely Edmonds.
