Tier I Training and Certification Research Theory
WRESA is excited to offer the North Carolina, standards based Project GLAD Tier I training and certification. In this rigorous professional development model, participants will
- Gain a better understanding of English language development.
- Acquire research based instructional strategies to meet the cognitive, linguistic, and emotional needs of all students.
- Grasp knowledge on how to integrate content and English Language Development standards for differentiated core instruction.
Who is it for? K-8 Classroom Teachers, ESL Teachers, Dual Language Teachers and EC Teachers
COMPONENT I: Research and Theory February 1st – 2nd 2018
When: February 1 – 2, 2018 (8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)

Component II: Classroom Demonstration March 13th– 16th 2018
When: March 13 – 16, 2018 (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Where: Upward Elementary School 45 Education Dr, Flat Rock NC, 28731
Must complete both components to earn Tier I Certification and 4 CEUs.
Cost per participant: $375 for WRESA Members; $1,035 for Non-WRESA Members
