This five-day reading foundations course focuses on increasing teacher knowledge of the research behind the science of reading as well as their skills in providing research-based instructional strategies to students with persistent reading difficulties.
Dates: September 6, 7, 19, 20, 26, 2017 (5 day session)
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
The content covers Graphophonemic Awareness, Decoding, Encoding, Vocabulary and Comprehension. Outside assignments are expected to be completed for the full 35 contact hours to be issued.
