School culture generally refers to the beliefs, perceptions, relationships, attitudes, and written and unwritten rules that shape and influence every aspect of how a school functions. It also encompasses more concreate issues such as the physical and emotional safety of students, the order of the school and the degree to which a school embraces and celebrates its cultural diversity. During this session Dr. Andy Peoples and Candie Sellers (former principals) will offer practical advice and strategies to help you build and or maintain a positive school culture by discussing some of the issues that cause negative school cultures and share strategies that will help administrators begin the change process.
