Description: Climate change is a difficult yet important topic to help students understand, and quality curriculum is hard to find. This workshop will lead science educators through a series of free lessons created by teachers and for teachers that tackle much of the fake news and arguments leveraged against climate change. You will also leave with ideas on how to increase student understanding of the science behind climate change through literacy, data analysis, and hands-on activities. Along with the customizable lessons, teachers will receive lunch and substitute reimbursement. Learn from a National Center for Science Education Science Ambassador on how to become more comfortable teaching this controversial and important topic. If you have questions about the workshop, contact Jason Carter (jason.carter@evergreenccs.org). If you have questions about registration, contact LaDonna Sluder at WRESA (lsluder@wresa.org).
