The mission of this one-day conference is to provide professional development that focuses on globally enhancing K-12 teaching and learning. The conference strives to present K-12 teachers with examples of effective instructional strategies to foster global citizens, encourage collaborations among educators, promote global awareness, and enhance global awareness and interaction through technology.

 

WRESA STEM Tech Conference

In our ever-changing world, K-12 teachers and school leaders need to be equipped with innovative strategies for using technology effectively. Join us for a day of learning about the most effective use of technology in education, particularly its role in supporting STEM initiatives. Our keynote presenter will be Dr. Eric Carbaugh, an Associate Professor, Department of Middle, Secondary, and Mathematics Education at James Madison University.  He is the co-author of The Differentiated Flipped Classroom: A Practical Guide to Digital Learning. Dr. Carbaugh is an effective and seasoned member of ASCD’s Differentiated Instruction Cadre and Understanding by Design Cadre. You will also have the opportunity to select from multiple breakout sessions focused on elementary, secondary, and community engagement related to STEM and technology. ACT Test Preparation Course

Date:      Ongoing

Cost:      $85.00

The ACT Test Prep Course takes a comprehensive look at the five sections of the ACT giving the student guided instruction and practice on all aspects of the test. It includes test-taking strategies, practice assessments with diagnostic data, video learning tools, review problems and a certificate of completion. Students will have email access to the instructors. The course is designed to be completed in a short amount of time in preparation for an upcoming ACT.
