Have you wondered how the new Literacy Instruction Standards (LIS) align with your curriculum? Would you like to build a deeper understanding of the LIS, and create a standards-based, literacy-rich environment in your Middle School ELA classroom? We know that literacy is essential in every single classroom. This session will provide instructional examples and practices from each Literacy Instruction Standard for grades 6-8. Dr. Marlowe’s experience as a middle school teacher allows her to share instructional practices that will positively impact students’ literacy achievement across content areas and can be incorporated immediately in your classrooms. Come ready to make those connections together!

Presenter: Dr. Amy Marlowe, instructional coach in Rutherford County Schools will lead this presentation. If you have additional questions email April Spencer aspencer@wresa.org
