          Session #3  July 20, 2023    "UNDER THE INFLUENCE" - Adolescent Addiction
TIME:     11:00am – 12:30pm (for all sessions)

LOCATION: Virtual (Zoom)  An email will be sent at a later date with a link for each session 

FEE:      Free thanks to the Dogwood Grant
          **NOTE - Must be a WRESA member or Burke County staff member to register for this event

CEUs:     1.5 Contact Hours for each Session (Sign up for one, two, or all three sessions)
Limit:    30 Participants for each session

Enjoy 3 award-winning documentaries! These are a “must-see” for anyone who works with or

cares about kids! In these poignant and unexpectedly funny segments, you will find insight and

solutions on how adults can empower kids to find balance and navigate the digital and addictive

world that we live in. WRESA is offering 3 VIRTUAL “Lunch and Learn” workshops this summer!

JUNE 19th – 11:00-12:30 “Screenagers -Growing up in a Digital Age”

The average kid spends 6.5 hours a day looking at screens. JULY 13th – 11:00 – 12:30 “NEXT CHAPTER” – Uncovering Skills for Stress and Resilience

JULY 20th – 11:00-12:30 “UNDER THE INFLUENCE” – Adolescent addiction

 Exploring the latest research and learning more about the personal experiences of teens and families, the film highlights the changing landscape of the substances themselves, offering solutions for how we can best empower teens, as they face decisions about what they will and will not be influenced by.

Online Driver Education Course Updates:

Sept 13th Online Driver Ed Course:  This course is currently suspended. Your instructor will contact you when a decision is made to resume the course.

Oct    11th Online Driver Ed Course:  This course has been rescheduled to start November 15th and end December 18th.  The instructor will send an email to both the student and parent emails no later than 8pm on Friday, Nov 15th with information to get started with the course.
