This one-day workshop is designed to offer teachers a motivating selection of fiction and informational text for classroom instruction.
Latest and Greatest Chapter Books
February 21, 2017 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cost: $95
Newly-published chapter books will be presented along with their correlated Common Core and Essential Standards (Grades 3-8). Participants will leave with five chapter books as well as ways to use them in standards implementation: integration of units, motivating reluctant readers, character education, content area instruction and encouraging engaged, recreational readers. Participants will earn 5 hours of credit for the day with an optional additional five hours available for electronic follow up activities.
