Enrollment Instructions for: Digital Tools for the Classroom

Thank you for registering for the online course “Digital Tools for the Classroom” with WRESA.  This is an online and self-paced course.

Follow the steps below to enroll in the “Digital Tools for the Classroom” course:

1)  Create a WRESAONLINE Moodle account or, log in to your account (if you already have an account):

  • If you do not have an account, click on “Create Account” on the right side to create an account.  Once created, wresaonline.org will send you an email with a link to verify your account.  Click on the link to verify, or, if you are not able to click on it, copy the link into your browser and hit enter which will verify your account.
  • If you already have an account, login using your Username and Password.

2)  After logging into your wresaonline.org moodle account, follow these steps to enroll in “Digital Tools for the Classroom”:

  1. First, do one of the following two options:
    • Under “Navigation” in the upper middle part of the screen, click on “Courses” if it is available to click on, OR,
    • If “Courses” is not available to click on, then scroll to the very bottom of the page, and click on “All courses”
  2. Click on “Technology Courses”
  3. Click on “Digital Tools for the Classroom”
  4. Enter the self-enrollment key “DIGITALTOOLS” to self-enroll into the course.

This should take you directly into the course. Anytime you exit and want to come back to wresaonline.org, simply go to https://wresaonline.org/index.php and login to your account.

Google Tools with Elizabeth Joyce

       Whether or not your school or district has adopted a Google Chromebook

       environment, if your LEA infrastructure allows for the use of Google Tools and/or

       Apps, the “Googlesphere” can be an immense help. It can aid in engaging students,

       keeping in touch with parents, automating feedback and assessment, sharing

       documents, and more. Hone your skills with the Google Chrome Browser using

       Google Apps for Education to engage your students. Before the session, make sure

       as a teacher you have access to Google Apps for Education.

 

       This session will be a webinar to show you how to get started using Google Keep,

       Google Docs, Google Drawings, Google Forms, and Google Slides.  Participants

       will receive ideas on how to use these resources in their classroom instruction. 

       This session will be recorded so participants can rewatch the demonstration. At the

       end of the webinar, the presenter will give a brief introduction to using Google

       Classroom. There will be future webinars that focus on Google Classroom and Advanced

       Google Tools. Elizabeth Joyce from NCCAT will be the presenter. If you have

2) Must be 14 1/2 years old  (Birth Date must be on or before January 27th, 2006)

3) Must be in high school or will be in high school this fall

***Please include a valid student email (personal or school) that the student can use to communicate with the teacher throughout the course.

Henderson/Transylvania Online Drivers Ed Course

To register for the Henderson/Transylvania Online Drivers Ed course, students must meet the following criteria:

1) Must LIVE in Henderson or Transylvania County

2) Must be 14 1/2 years old  (Birth Date must be on or before January 27th, 2006)

3) Must be in high school or will be in high school this fall

***Please include a valid student email (personal or school) that the student can use to communicate with the teacher throughout the course.

ACS/Rutherford Online Drivers Ed

To register for the Asheville City/Rutherford Online Drivers Ed course, students must meet the following criteria:

1) Must attend Asheville City Schools or LIVE in Rutherford County

2) Must be 14 1/2 years old  (Birth Date must be on or before January 27th, 2006)

3) Must be in high school or will be in high school this fall

***Please include a valid student email (personal or school) that the student can use to communicate with the teacher throughout the course.

Buncombe County Online Drivers Ed Course

To register for the Buncombe County Online Drivers Ed course, students must meet the following criteria:

1) Must LIVE in Buncombe County (except Asheville City Schools students are not eligible for this course)

2) Must be 14 1/2 years old  (Birth Date must be on or before January 27th, 2006)

3) Must be in high school or will be in high school this fall
